Available in four center frequencies and five standard configurations, NOGGIN® systems can collect data in any environment for any application. NOGGIN® spans the depths and resolutions required for subsurface investigations. Choose the combination of center frequency and configuration best suited to your application and terrain.
Noggin® Sensors have patented ultra-wide band (UWB) antennas with center frequencies of 100, 250, 500 and 1000 MHz: lower frequencies for deeper penetration and higher frequencies for shallow, high resolution surveys.
NOGGIN® 100
The Noggin 100 provides low frequency, deep sounding GPR capability with a center frequency of 100 MHz. Designed for true portability, the Noggin 100 has detachable antennas that allow the system to be packed easily for shipping or transport, even by backpack! The Noggin 100 retains all the simplicity and integrated form factors that have made the other members of the Noggin family so popular.

NOGGIN® Ultra 100

The NOGGIN Ultra 100 has all the capability of the Noggin 100 described above with the addition of Ultra Receiver technology.  This allows the system to stack the data traces up to 65,536 times to reduce the random radio frequency noise floor and increase the depth of penetration – all with little to no increase in data collection speed.

NOGGIN® 500
The Noggin 500 is used for applications requiring high resolution with a medium level of exploration depth. It features a center frequency of 500 MHz.

NOGGIN® 1000
The Noggin 1000 is essential for shallow applications such as concrete inspection and road infrastructure projects where resolution is critical. It has a center frequency of 1000 MHz.

Noggin® Ultra 100 increases exploration depth

The NOGGIN® Ultra 100 can stack GPR traces thousands, as many as 65,536 times, reducing the random background noise floor, resulting in deeper GPR penetration than ever before. This technology allows GPR professionals to see signals 100 times smaller than before, greatly increasing the imaging depth. Stacking GPR signals thousands of times lowers the noise floor so weaker, real GPR reflections from greater depth are detected. The NOGGIN® Ultra 100 records these signals in 32-bits. (4096 stacks)
